Babri Masjid and thats what happened after the
S6 coach of Sabarmati Express burnt at Godhra on
27th February, 2002.

dead bodies for some one to win an election

• On 27th Feb 2002 around 12 noon the dead
  bodies were removed from the S6 coach of the ill
  fated train and laid down in the yard itself. A
  huge crowd was allowed to gather all around.

• The inquest was carried out by PI Mirza which
  was started at 1315 hours and was completed and
  signed at 1845 hours.

• Under the criminal law, it is the inquesting
  authority who has to decide whether to send the
  dead bodies for post-mortem or not. But in the
  present case PM of almost all bodies were over by
  18.45 hours, the time when inquest report was
  signed.

  mortem was being conducted in the Railway Yard
  itself without any facility and equipments and
  also by Doctors who were not trained to do Post
  Mortem?

  Income Tax Officer has deposed before Nanavati
  Commission that
• As far as I remember, no post mortem was done
  when the dead body of my wife was given to me.

  great haste at Godhra itself for three
  objectives

• (1) The real cause of death was obliterated
• (2) The dead bodies could be transported to reach
  Ahmedabad next morning to hold a funeral rally
• (3) The inflamed anger of the funeralists could
  be lasered into a violent communal reprisal.

• The first objective was easily achieved All
  doctors simply wrote the cause of all 58 deaths
  to be due to extensive shock due to burn .
• No investigation was made as to whether the burns
  were anti-mortem or post-mortem.

• To achieve the second and third objective, the
  dead the bodies were handed over to Jaydeep
  Patel, the Vice President of VHP at 11pm at
  Godhra and transporting them by trucks to reach
  the Civil Hospital at Sola, Ahmedabad in the
  early morning at 244 am on 28th Feb. 2002.

  Narayan have gone on record to state that it was
  the Chief Minister who took the decision to send

  Naroda and a massive funeral rally of over 50
  thousand mourners took the bodies to Hatkeshwar
  crematorium at 10am in the morning

• Around 10.30 am, a part of the funeral crowd went
  berserk and attacked a Muslim Hotel at
  Thakkarbapa nagar, close to Naroda.
• Then in rapid succession, the violence spreads to
  Naroda Gam and then to Naroda Patiya and to
  Gulberg Society, all within three kilometers!

the rank of DGP to PSO of local police stations
from all over Gujarat. Except for a few, most of
the Police officials have voiced the same reason
for their failure to prevent the killings and

before this Honble Commission is whether, prima
facie the defense put up by the Police has any
substance at all or the defense is purely a cover
up for their direct collusion with the rioters

Data collected and submitted by Shri Rahul Sharma
before the Commission is of great importance as
corroborative evidence and therefore, has
analyzed this data in respect of around 40
persons whose names have already been submitted
to the Commission.

company records his phone no, tower location,
time, and the phone no. of other party etc.

person carrying a particular mobile, unique
location codes were assigned to each tower. The

It has been alleged by many victims of Narodagam
that the MLA of Naroda, Mayaben Kodnani was
instigating the mob to attack them. She has of
course denied even her presence in the Naroda

From the last panel it can be seen that the Home
Minister Shri Gordhan Zadafia had made just six
calls to the CP in three days and just two calls
to the Joint CP in the same period, whereas he
has made 23 calls to the DCP Shri R.J. Sawani, 11
calls to Dr. Jaydeep Patel and five calls to
Bipin Panchal, (the accused in CR No.100/2002).

It is submitted that the above figure indicate a
strong nexus between the DCP Sawani and the Home
Minister. Despite the enormity of the events
that had taken place between 27th Feb. and 1st
March02 the Home Minister does not contact
senior most officers but repeatedly contacts a
subordinate officer who was not even connected
with Zone-IV where the major crimes had taken
place.

From the location graph of Mr. Tandon it is very
clear that he was at Gulberg Society between 11am
and 12.10 hrs. That time crowd had started
gathering in Gulberg. But he runs away after
receiving a long 123 sec call from Sawani.

Revdibazar with his full striking force where
there were no riots

DCP Gondias graph indicates that he too ran away
to Rewdibazar and handed over Gulberg society to
rioters. Result 60 people were killed including
Ehasan Jafari and eight girls are missing to day
also. After every thing was burnt they did come
to Gulberg at 4pm , perhaps to count the number
of dead bodies.

When they were counting dead bodies in Gulberg
there was no police at Naroda Patia. Result More
than 100 people were killed between 5pm to 7pm by
a mob of around 20,000 in Naroda Patia. According
to affidavit file before Nanavati Commission
neither DGP nor any other police officer had any
knowledge about the incident .

The graph would indicate that the king Pande
between 10.30 hrs and 19.30 hrs, had not left the
Shahibaug area and was perhaps in his office. He
had also visited the Gulberg Society around 19.40
hrs perhaps to help Tandon and Gondia in counting
dead bodies.

The violence thereafter spread to the rest of the
state and no attempt was made to stop the
violence. It is therefore clear that the role of
the police is that of a colluder. They were never
out-numbered.

  loudly that the Chief Minister, Home Minister,
  Health Minister and all higher police officials
  are all party to the genocide.

• In one city of Gujarat however one sincere
  police officer did try to stop the violence and
  in the night of 28th Feb. 2002, he desperately
  requested the DGP to send him extra police force.

• He was however told by DGP that the entire
  bureaucracy had been neutarlised! And he had to
  depend on his own strength.

• Rahul Sharma, the DSP of Bhavnagar did put down
  the violence and he saved the lives of 400
  children in a madarsa. In doing so he had to
  resort to firing which did kill some rioters.

  Zadafia congratulated Sharma over the phone.
• By saying that He had done a good job but the
  death ratio was not correct
• More Hindus had been killed in firing!
