address functionality related to the delivery of
Academic/Student services such as - Admissions and Recruitment
- Registration
- Student Records
- Advising
- Program, Course, and Curriculum Administration
- Student Accounting
- Financial Aid
3Mission Statement
- To develop and implement an enterprise resource
planning (ERP) system to enhance the
collaboration and integration among, between, and
within the universities and organizations of the
State System of Higher Education, while providing
the opportunity to utilize limited resources in
the most efficient and cost effective manner.
4Campus Management Vision
- The Campus Management vision is to fully
integrate SAPs Campus Management application
with Wolffpacks Financier and other SAP modules
and applications supported by SyTEC in a

6Where Are We in the Campus Management Project?
- The Campus Management (CM) project is using SAPs
Accelerated SAP (ASAP) methodology as a guide to
implement the Campus Management solution. - In the ASAP methodology, there are five phases.
These phases are indicated on the graphic. - The Campus Management project is currently in the
Blueprint Phase
? Project Preparation
Go-Live and Support
Realization
Final Preparation
? Blueprint We are Here
7What is Blueprint?
- Blueprint is an early phase in SAPs ASAP Project
Methodology. - Some of the activities that are completed during
the Blueprint Phase include - Hold Business Process Workshops and Discussions
to gather information - Compile the Process Documentation
- Document Questions and Answers
- Develop the Campus Management Blueprint
8Business Process Workshops
- Are designed as information gathering sessions
- Are meant to be interactive
- Are an integral part of designing and building
the Campus Management solution - Require participation from a wide variety of
people - from all of the Universities,
- from the Campus Management team and
- from our implementation partners Unisys, SAP,
and Wolffpack
9Two Phase Business Process Workshop Approach
- Business Process Workshops for the Campus
Management Project will be done in two phases - SME Workshops The CM team will facilitate
process-oriented discussions with the SMEs to
gather information about how we do business at
our universities. The information gathered in
the SME workshops will assist the CM team in
preparing for the system-wide workshops. - System-Wide Workshops Using information gathered
in the SME Business Process Workshops as a
baseline or starting point, the CM team will
conduct workshops with a larger group of
representatives from all of the 14 universities.
10What is a Subject Matter Expert?
(slide 1 of 2)
- A subject matter expert is defined as one who has

solution will be the information gathered from
the universities. The CM solution is not a
canned package, but one that needs to be
configured and built. It will be designed based
upon the input from all of the universities.
Your input will be vital in the success of this
project.
11What is a Subject Matter Expert? (slide 2

- the interaction among various functions within
the university. - the ways in which data and information are used
to support the business processes of the
university. - the future direction of the university with
regard to his/her specific areas of expertise. - A SME should have the ability to
- describe their universitys current business
processes and procedures. - identify opportunities to improve current
processes.
12Subject Matter Expert Roles and
Responsibilities

asked to - Review CM process documentation, questionnaires

and the CM Team. - Provide input regarding the best practices of
their area(s) of expertise. - Listen to the suggestions of others and keep in
