Title: Tracking Student Court Dispositions
1Tracking Student Court Dispositions
V 8.12.08
2What is the Court Actions Report?
- Allows you to see where students are in the court
process after charges have been sent to the
attendance officer. - Keys on the Referred to Court date field
- Shows all students at once rather than one
student at a time for your campus - Notifies you of the specifics of court sanctions
3Typical Court Sanctions
- Typical sanctions include
- Must attend school.
- No absences without Dr. note
- No tardies without Dr. note
- Typical sanctions are not outlined in the report.
Only variations are listed for you. The
expectation is that the typical sanctions will be
followed for every student who has sanctions
filed.
4Pulling the Court Actions Report
In the Mizuni Reports Portal, go to Custom
Reports/Truancy/Truancy Court Actions.
5Pulling Court Action Rept (Cont)
Use the drop-down menus to shape your search as
needed, then click View Report (Example
Choose your campus in scope to narrow the
report to your campus only). Note If you run
only one officer, and that officer has forgotten
to place his or her name in the proper slots in
the truancy tracker, those cases will not pull.
The same goes for judges.
6Once the report has run, you may export it to
Excel and save to your computer. You may then
sort data as you wish. All students on this list
need to be monitored by the campus and reported
to the attendance officer if they break sanctions
by being absent, etc. NOTE This report runs on
legal paper!
7The Harris County Court System Database
- This is a web-based reporting system that shows
you when upcoming court dates are scheduled. - It is accessible by anyone who has name and
birthdate. - It is real-time.
- While the truancy court actions report shows
actions AFTER they happen, this shows dates
BEFORE they happen.
