Role of a Young Advisor

Four main areas

• Show services how to involve young people
• Teach adults how to attract and maintain the
  interests of young people
• Speak out for young people
• Work regionally advising others of learning and
  successes

How do they do it?

• East Manchester
• Coordinated by a multi-agency team
• All paired with a mentor for support
• They work in the area they live
• Respond to the priorities of each district
• Respond to the interests and needs of each mentor
  and mentee
