Purpose of a CDFI

• Community Development Initiatives (CDFI) are
  local organisations established to meet the
  financial needs of the Communities in which they
  operate and to make loan finance available as
  appropriate to organisations to enable them to
  realise their potential and thereby make a
  contribution to the community regeneration
  process
