How Do I Learn Decide What is Right or Wrong?

• Depend on Gods word Ps 11989-96, 105
• Does Bible commend or condemn?
• Gal 519-21 Col. 31-16
• This simplifies matter so far as child of God
  is concerned no recourse, no debate, no
  argument
• Some things explicitly mentioned, but other
  things are implied or like the rest

God Recognizes Our Ability to Compare

• Notice Gal 519-21 and such like
• When we are uncertain, we can compare
• Is marijuana like drunkenness?
• Does gambling reflect Golden Rule?
• Is its effect like other sins?
• Does it build up or make weaker?
• Could you recommend it to Christ?

What Do Mature Christians Think Of It?

• What others think may not be best judgment
• Men can often be wrong
• But we should recognize and use those who are
  mature Titus 15-9 21-8
• Seek out advice from mature in Christ 1 Kgs
  126-29 Rehoboam refused
• Reason of use suggests age, experience
• But do not let youth be despised 1 Tim 412

Does It Hinder Your Influence?

• Example is a powerful tool for conversion of
  the lost
• For women 1 Pet 31-3
• For men 1 Cor 111 1019-23
• Danger of poor example Gal. 211-14
• Power recognized by God Heb. 11 great cloud
  of witnesses
• Do you want anyone to be lost because of your
  example? Is my life right or wrong?

Is It Good Stewardship?

• Some things are not inherently evil, but the

Does It Hurt Your Conscience?

• Importance of knowing how conscience is
  developed
• It is not innately correct, must be taught
• Once taught, it judges your actions

  you understand truth
• Never violate conscience, even if you are not
