Project Targets
  • Through the project we shall be travelling around
the world by only using solar power. But the best
thing is that we will be stopping at 5 different
amazing countries and all together we will be
    visiting 7 brilliant countries.

3
Countries
  • The countries we are visiting are
  • Start Switzerland
  • 1st country Russia
  • 2nd country Australia
  • 3rd country Brazil
  • 4th country USA
  • 5th country ItalyFinish South Africa

4
Russia
Switzerland
USA
Italy
Brazil
Australia
South Africa
5
Reasons why I choose these countries
  • I have chosen to start in Switzerland because
this is where the pilot of the plane comes from
and it will be an excellent idea to wave off his
family, friends and nation in the country he was
born in. I have chosen to go to Russia second
because Russia is the biggest country in the
world and the capital of Moscow where we are
visiting has many different beautiful buildings.
The reason why I want Bertrand to go to Australia
is because I love animals and Australia has many
kinds of different animals for example the koala.
Next I want Mr Piccard to go to Brazil is because
again it has lots of different amazing buildings
and I cant wait to see them all. The forth
country he will visit is USA simply because they
are holding an ice hockey match between the
Olympic team and some hopeful amateurs wanting to
make the squad. Then Bertrand will visit Italy. I
have chose Italy for the reason that, once we get
to 2010 it will be the anniversary of the fall of
Rome and there should be lots of things to do and
see. Finally Bertrand will finish at South Africa
simply because they will be hosting the 2010
world cup and it will be a great reward for him
    to watch.

multinational state and the result of development
    over several distinct epochs.
  • Russian architecture follows a tradition whose
roots were established in the Eastern Slavic
state of Kievan Rus'. After the fall of Kiev,
Russian architectural history continued in the
    principalities of Vladimir-Suzdal, and Novgorod,
and the succeeding states of Muscovy, the Russian
Empire, the Soviet Union, and the modern Russian
    Federation.

    over the world.

13
Brazilian Culture
  • Brazilian culture is a Latin American culture of
a very diverse nature. It's main influence comes
from Portuguese culture, due to colonial ties
with the Portuguese empire that spread the
Portuguese language, legal system and other
    cultural inheritances.
  • Sports are very popular in Brazil, the most
    notable being futebol (Football).

USA Culture

home to a wide variety of ethnic groups,
traditions, and values. The culture held in
common by the majority of Americans is referred
to as "mainstream American culture," a Western

17
Italian Culture
  • Italy, as a state, did not exist until the
unification of the country in 1861. Due to this
    comparatively late unification, and the
historical autonomy of the regions that comprise
the Italian Peninsula, many traditions and
customs that we now recognise as distinctly
Italian can be identified by their regions of
origin. Italy has been a seminal place for many
    important artistic and intellectual movements
that spread throughout Europe and beyond,
including the Renaissance and Baroque. Italy's
vast artistic heritage includes the achievements
of Michelangelo, Leonardo da Vinci, Donatello,
    Botticelli, Fra Angelico, Tintoretto, Caravaggio,
Bernini, Titian and Raphael, among many others.

19
South African Culture
  • It may be argued that there is no "single"
culture in South Africa because of its ethnic
diversity. Today, the diversity in foods from
many cultures is enjoyed by all and especially
marketed to tourists who wish to sample the large
variety of South African cuisine. In addition to
food, music and dance feature prominently.
  • South African cuisine is heavily meat-based and
has spawned the distinctively South African
social gathering known as a braai, or barbecue.
South Africa has also developed into a major wine
producer, with some of the best vineyards lying
in valleys around Stellenbosch, Franschoek, Paarl
    and Barrydale.
  • In 2010 the FIFA World Cup is Going to be held in
South Africa and they are going to be through
straight away with out having to qualify.
