Definition of Process Analysis

• The critical review of the inputs (materials or
  information), transactions (the work or
  manipulation of the inputs), and outputs (the
  products or services) of a bounded set of work
  place activities. Review can and should include a
  workload analysis to determine if the process is
  staffed appropriately.
