3The Positive Feedback We Received
- Child Development Center
- Many thanks to Mrs. Debby Mrs. Valerie for the
outstanding Pre-K educational support provided to
my daughter (name intentionally left out). Also,
many thanks to Mrs. Louise Mrs. Sarah for
excellent managerial support. (1 Sep 09) - Hazmart
- The HAZMART building and pick-up people Chris
Wagner, Marie Krill, Joe Clark, Bill Regas and
the rest of the crew have always gone the
extra mile to handle any and all HAZ WASTE
related requests and problems that I sent their
way. I always get very fast, polite,
professional service from them. (1 Sep 09) - Custodial Services
- Thank you for the quick response for custodial
services in building 176. Service provider
responded immediately and the facility was
cleaned. Cleaning crew did a great job today!

- Thank you very much for all of your support at
our Rapid Prototyping and Technology Initiative
(RPTI) contract Kick-off meeting held on
September 9, 2009 at the Cannon Gates Club. We
appreciate your diligent to have our room set up
and ready to go when we arrived. The pastries
and coffee were already placed near out room
which was great. The facilities were very
professional. Additionally, the lunch was fresh
and ready when we needed it. We appreciate all
of these things, as it helped us focus on hosting
a successful meeting. Jason we really
appreciate your AV support through the entire
meeting. Your held trouble shooting our WEBEX
meeting event during the presentation was key for
the offsite participants to get the information
the needed. We were very impressed by your
ability to help with all aspects of AV support
during the meeting. Thank you very much.
Overall, we were very happy with the service the
Cannon Gates Club provided during our meeting.

5The Positive Feedback We Received
- Road Maintenance
- Line stripping in/around B34 looks MAHVELOUS
thanks. (9 Sep 09) - Facility Maintenance
- I would like to thank DPW and logistics for the
outstanding job they did for Child and Youth
Services in the last few weeks to move to the
Community Center. They worked to help us move
furniture, painted and cleaned the floors and
bathrooms, and completed a long list of service
orders in record time. The facility looks
wonderful. They also helped us o retrofit some
rooms in the existing CDC. Al of this allowed us
to offer childcare spaces to people on our
waiting list who otherwise would have had another
delay in getting childcare. Thanks team
Picatinny. (18 Sep 09) - Recreational Lodging (Guest House and Trailer
Park) - Thank you Linda and Staff it is always a
pleasure. (8 Sep 09) - Civilian Personnel and Advisory Center
- Stafanie Hagan is like a breath of fresh air for
this previously stagnated center. She was able
to address my concerns in an accurate and timely
manner. Picatinny would be a much better place
to work if there were more like her. I cant
thank her enough. (13 Sep 09)

6The Positive Feedback We Received
- Outdoor Recreation
- I cannot possibly express how pleased and
satisfied I am with the SCUBA program
administered by Hans and Chris. They go out of
their way to be as helpful as they can. Its a
pleasure to work with people who obviously love
what they do and the people they serve. If there
is anything more I could ask for it would be more
sponsored SCUBA trips, but I know they are a lot
of work and take a lot of time to arrange. (21

7The Negative Feedback We Received
- Outdoor Recreation
- This is a complaint in regards to the new policy
of having to register PAINTBALL MARKERS with the
Picatinny Police Dept. I will not do it. It
makes no sense. There is no good rationale for
why this should be necessary. It is intrusive to
my privacy. It is intrusive to my rights as a
citizen of NJ and the US. Furthermore, the form
requires (PII) Personally Identifiable
Information such as SSNs, which are not to be
given out willy-nilly on each and every
pseudo-official-looking government form someone
at Picatinny can whip up. There is no guarantee
of safekeeping of this PII there is no
description of who has access o it and most of
all, there is no reason given for why it should
be necessary in the first place. I can only hope
that this policy is overturned soon. In the mean
time I will be traveling to West Point this
weekend to play Paintball. They do not have such
ridiculous policies there. (9 Sep 09) - Manager Response
- Thank you for your comment. We appreciate and
respect your concern about privacy issues. - We want to ensure you that we protect and secure
all Privacy Act Information. In order to protect
- and ensure the safety of the residents and
employees on this Installation we are required to
abide - by set rules and regulations, especially when it
pertains to hand held weapons. Regardless of - how you may perceive this requirement by DES to
require that all paintball guns be registered or - they will not be allowed on base (to include
paintball fields), either you abide by the rules
or you - do not participate in this program. Safety is
and will remain one of our top priorities.

8The Negative Feedback We Received
- Choices/Cafeteria
- Hello, I am writing to make you aware of the
sanitary/health practices used at Choices. I
normally try to eat out or bring my own lunch for
the following reasons. Employees preparing
meals like sandwiches, pizzas, salads, etcoften
prepare these meals without wearing hygienic
plastic gloves, hair nets or hats. I find this
rather disgusting and repulsive. The potential
for food poisoning/contamination from other meats
is extremely high when workers go from one order
to the next without even wiping their hand with a
towel from the previous order. Here is my
experience for today workers are not wearing a
hair net or hat, gloves or even cleaning or
whipping hands between orders, and has a
persistent cough. I ordered a sandwich which
required almost no direct human contact meaning
that everything was done with a spoon or knife.
The worker coughed and covered mouth with her
hands OK Natural thing to do but continues
making my sandwich without cleaning her hands.
(22 Sep 09) - Manager Response
- Thank you for your patronage and we always
welcome customer comments and suggestions. - I held a post lunch meeting today with staff to
discuss our practices. Gloves are not mandatory - to wear but are always available if the customer
chooses for us to make their meal with gloves. - Thank you again for you comments/suggestions. I
find sanitation to be a very important part in - our industry and will take every measure to be in
compliance.
