Title: Acid Rain

1
Acid Rain
  • Dani G. , Courtney J. , Ryien L. Angel M.

2
Ecosystems
  • Acid rain can make people cough if they have a
    disease.
  • Plants animals depend on each other for food.
  • Isopods fertilize the soil so new plants can
    grow.
  • Snails depend on rocks for camouflage.

3
What we did to make our Ecocolumns
  • AQUARIUM
  • First, we put rocks in the bottom of our two
    litter bottle.
  • Then, we put in our water.
  • We put in elodea and duckweed and algae.
  • Next we added fish snails.
  • Last, the terrarium on top of the aquarium.
  • TERRARIUM
  • First, we put in rocks, soil and then let the
    seeds grow.
  • Then, we put in the Isopods and crickets.
  • Then, we put our terrarium on top of our
    aquarium.

4
Why Things Need Each Other
  • Things depend on each other for an example the
plants need the fish. They all need water because
they will die. If we did not have animals the
plants would take over and overpopulate. This
    would kill many things.

5
What We Did
  • Our pollutant was acid rain made from vinegar
water. We had three droppers of pollutant mixed
    with one quart water.

6
How Can We Help
  • We can try not to use factory equipment. When you
have to go a short distance you should walk or
ride a bike. Use light that comes from the your
window instead of from your sealing.

7
What Happened
  • AQUARIUM
  • Plants The plants turned all white. The elodea
had white stringing stuff hanging off of it.
  • Water It has gotten very foggy.
  • Rocks The rocks are deteriorating.
  • TERRARIUM
  • Plants The plants are dying and turning white.
  • Rocks They are deteriorating.
  • Soil The soil is really dark brown or almost
    black.
