The Lenses

• The only purpose of the lens is to focus light
  through the aperture, and onto the film.
• There may be 1-3 lenses inside the barrel
• The focal plane will change with the number of
  lenses and the length of the barrel.

The CCD

• The Charged Couplet Device purpose is to collect
  light in a digital Video Camera and change it
  into electrons to be converted into binary code
• This works because of the CCD's surface, Its very
  similar to a Solar panel

• The CCD is a very small device, about the size of
  a quater.

• The Film is the most important piece of camera
  equipment.
• Film is a thin flexible strip of cellulose,
  covered in emulsion with silver halide, these
  control the sensitivity, contrast, and
  resolution.

• After the lenses capture the lightwaves, the
  image is focused through the barrel, onto a
  pointo of film.
• Depending on the aperture the brightness of the
  image might change,

• A larger aperture allows more light and a
  brighter picture will follow, viceca-versa, if
  the aperture is smaller.
