ELLABO Part Lower Saxony

• Situation in Lower Saxony
• population of 8 million
• 9,4 unemployed
• only 1.2 of the whole population is aged
  between 55 and 65 years
• but 10 of the elderly are unemployed
• LaBIBs task Developing a model for integration
  of elderly and building up a win-win-situation
  for all parties
• no longer passive benefits and long-term
  unemployment but active employment
• qualified older employees for founders of a new
  business and existing companies by using the
  qualifying instruments of the ESF fund
• no additional costs by using existing funds like
  unemployment benefits, social security
  contributions, funds of the federal state and of
  the employers
• involvement of policy, trade association, trade
  unions, etc.
