Beginning

• Bobby meets Willie Rumson and Willie calls him
  the Crisco kid, and all of Willies gang laughs
  at Bobby and Joanie
• Bobby applies for the lawn mowing job at Dr.
  Kahns house

Beginning 2

• Bobbys dad tries to get him to go to summer camp
  and be a junior councilor, but Bobby doesnt want
  to because he would have to wear a swimming suit
  and then everyone would laugh at him

General Problem

• Bobby gets the lawn job at Dr. Kahns that had
  originally been Willies
• Bobbys parents are fighting with each other
  about his weight (his mom says hes just right
  and his dad says he needs to go on a diet)

General Problem 2

• Bobby cuts the lawn the first day, but Dr. Kahn
  says that it wasnt good enough, so Dr. Kahn
  docked Bobbys pay and made him pay for a new
  lawn mower blade to replace the chipped one

General Problem 3

• Bobby goes home and collapses and misses his
  first meal ever
• He falls asleep and dreams that he is melting
  away and will be thin when he wakes up because
  all of his fat has melted off

• Willie and his gang strip Bobby naked and leave
  him on the island
• Jim comes back and rescues Bobby so that Willie
  wouldnt get in trouble and go to jail

Climax

• Willie gets a gun and threatens Bobby, Joanie,
  and Pete with it and Willies friend Jim puts the
  gun next to his heart, and tells Willie to shoot
  him and Willie breaks down.

Solution

• Pete attacks Willie because he says that he cant
  let him get away with threatening them
• Willie jumps Bobby and Bobby just about drowns
  Willie by wrapping his legs around him and
  holding him under water but Pete saves Willie

Ending

• Bobby goes to Dr. Kahn and asks for a raise and
  gets it because he doesnt back down from Dr.
  Kahns stare
• Bobby is thinner because of all the exercise he
  got from mowing Dr. Kahns lawn

Ending 2

• Bobby says that he might go off the high diving
  board like Pete Marino, but then he says that he
  might not right away, because there is still
  summer left, and who knows what can happen
