Kilts for kids 28 November 2008

• Kilts for Kids Day is CHILDREN 1ST's new
  national fundraising event to be held each year
  on the Friday nearest St Andrew's day.
• This year, on the 28th November we want everyone
  to join us in a Tartan-tastic day of fun across
  Scotland! Whether you're at work, school, home
  or play, it's simple.
• Just wear a kilt, or some tartan, and do
  something you wouldn't usually do, from going to
  work or school in a kilt Have lots of fun doing
  it. Raise funds for Scotland's vulnerable
  children and celebrate our national day, all at
  the same time.

Kilts for kids helps

• What does Children 1st do?For over 120 years
  CHILDREN 1ST, the Royal Scottish Society for
  Prevention of Cruelty to Children, has been
  working to give every child in Scotland a safe
  and secure childhood. Click here to find out more

• Today, CHILDREN 1ST
• supports families under stress
• protects children from harm and neglect
• helps children recover from abuse
• promotes children's rights and interests.
• Throughout Scotland our staff and volunteers use
  their skills to help children overcome the
  difficulties in their lives and rebuild trust and
  confidence - our services.
• Our work with children and families informs and
  influences all our policy and campaigns. Not only
  do we try to influence legislation, we also
  campaign to change attitudes towards children and
  to help create a better world for all children.

• Because we know being a parent isn't easy

Why should we raise money?

• CHILDREN 1ST helps children and their families
  throughout Scotland to heal the hurts and solve
  the problems that life has thrown at them.
• They couldnt do it without the people of
  Scotland supporting them.
• Every penny that is raised by CHILDREN 1ST in
  Scotland is spent in Scotland.
