• No, German.
• Developed from Halma
• Invented by an American (1883)
• First published by Ravensburger as
• Stern-Halma (1892)
• Published again in 1928 by J Pressman Co. as
  Hop Ching Checkers
• During 1928 Pressman called it Chinese Checkers

Rules of the Original Game

• Board is six-pointed star
• 2, 3, 4 or 6 players
• Each player has ten pieces of their colour
• Aim to move all pieces to opposite corner
• Move to adjacent space or hop
• Can continue hopping
