introduction

• Hmong people have hard time living in Laos.
• There was war going on and it was between Hmong
  and Vietnamese.
• The Hmong also have hard bringing baby's along
  when the war started. because the baby is going
  to make noise so they dont really want baby to
  come a long.
• At the end most of the Hmong people cross the
  Mekong river and then went to the camp .

A head start of how Hmong people live.

• Hmong live growing there own crops.
• They grow rice the most cause it one of Hmong's
  favorite.
• It takes a lot of work.
• Need family or fan to help.
• Need to find a place for your crop.
• So this is some way how Hmong plant there crops.

New Year

• Relatives meet.
• Family reunite.
• Lasts about 2 days.
• Eat a lot of food.
• Celebrate the new year.
• Do ritual calling back the spirits of the past
  ancestors to help guide the New Year.

Why we are here in the U.S.

• Communist wanted to over take Laos.
• Hmong people helped out the Americans
• America lost the war so we had to go somewhere or
  else we would get slaughtered.
• They promised us if they lose we would not get
  left behind.

Running from Vietnamese

• Hmong need to find a what to fight the Vietnamese
  cause they got a lot of people and Hmong dont.
• Hmong was losing to the Vietnamese but then the
  Americans came and helped the Hmong people.
• Many Hmong people also cross the Mekong river and
  went to live in the refugee camp for a couple of
  months.
