SRL is a voluntary organization started in 1984
to promote a greater understanding of reading
writing (literacy), related language development
issues and instruction through workshops,
publications, biennial conferences and
educational consultancy. It is an affiliate of
the National Book Development Council and a
National affiliate of the International Reading
Association (IRA), USA.
WISH is in essence an adult literacy programme
that serves women in Singapore. Its goal is to
help women learn basic functional English for
day-to-day communication.
