Science Education and Training in a
Knowledge-based Society - SET 2010

• Project objectives
• To promote the best European practice and to
  establish a partnership between the Romanian
  teams and the advanced networks in Europe, in the
  field of education, for the technical and
  scientific knowledge and lifelong learning
• To develop a regional network (both in the Balkan
  area and in the Est and Central Europe) aimed to
  increase the science teaching quality at the
  preuniversitar level
• To develop the cooperation with the Hands-on
  Science European network concerning science
  education through experiment (real or virtual)
• To encourage the dissemination at the European
  level of the main results regarding science
  education obtained in Romanian schools.

• The use of virtual instrumentation (LabVIEW) for
  real and virtual experiments (data acquisition
  form various sensors, PC control, European
  premiere)
• Photonics and optics (optical spectroscopy,
  optical fiber communications, lasers, classical
