• Union Soldiers fought Robert E. Lees invading
  army in the small town of Gettysburg,
  Pennsylvania.
• Over 3,000 Union Soldiers, and 4,000 Confederate
  Soldiers lost their lives.

• More than 20,000 on each side were wounded or
  reported missing.
• It was the most victorious battle for the Union.

• November 19, 1863 president Lincoln dedicated a
  small cemetery in Gettysburg where many died.

  Lincoln speak.
• His address lasted only three minutes.
