Ideas for activities and games (Teachers Guide)
Role play (skills practised listening,
speaking) 1. Use the story in the chapter to do a
play in the class. This will be done after going
through the story with the pupils first. It will
be necessary to explain the virtue of ??s choice
as they are not familiar with Chinese morals.
Alternatively, you can do the play first and just
let the pupils choose a pear and see what the
outcome is. A discussion can then follow before
going through the story in the chapter. 2. The
languages used will be very simple and basic at
this level. The pupils will rely on their acting
to convey the meaning. 3. The teacher can make
up a dialogue to suit the language competency of
