Aims of the Project

• To promote the democratization of student
  society.
• To develop intercultural dialogue and a sense of
  community.
• To establish a sense of common European identity
  amongst pupils.

• Overcoming the problems of stereotyping and
  prejudice.
• Reflecting upon ones own position in Europe.
• Identification with the concept of European
  Citizenship.
• Promotion of political awareness and active
  citizenship.

How have we progressed since the start of the
project?

• In Canterbury, London, Berlin and Flensburg the
  results of a student survey showed that Comenius
  had helped students learn to value their voice.
• In Barcelona and Uherský Brod pupils see the
  schools as still democratizing.

Future Plans

• Having developed our student councils and unions
  as a direct result of our participation in the
  Comenius Project we can now move to make
  increments elsewhere
• Student participation.
• European identity and individual identity.
• Integration of the internet with our project.
