• Concept description
• NaviSpeech a GPS based navigation software for
  blind and visually impaired users
• Route planning and guidance using Text-To-Speech
  (TTS) software
• Ability to connect to a GPS receiver unit via
  Bluetooth
• Easy route planning via text editor or the
  Internet
• Supporting placemark based navigation numerous
  trip files can be uploaded to the smartphone in
  the same time
• More than 6000 lines of program code in Symbian
  C

• What is innovative
• Navigation for blind and visually impaired
  people blind people have special needs,
  NaviSpeech provides accurate voice feedback to
  guide them on their journeys
• Reading real-time generated sentences using a TTS
  software instead of recorded voice database in
  advance it always needs constant space (app.
  1.5Mbyte for Hungarian)
• Scaleable display properties font size and color
  profiles (font and background color combinations)
  improve usability for visually impaired people
  change preferred profiles to see the display
  better
