• 1. Network bank Identification
• At registration on the web page
• A user logs in with personal network bank
  number
• Bank sends the social security number to the
  initiative system
• If the social security number entered in the
  registration form is the same, identification is
  accepted

• 2. SMS Identification
• At registration on the web page and wap site
• User sends the message ALOITE id to the
  service number 173174 (Aloite means initiative
  id means the customer number given by the
  system)
• The Initiative system checks the phone number
  entered in the registration form
• If phone numbers match, identification is
  accepted
• Returns the message Your identification id
  is accepted

• 3. OuluCard Identification
• At registration on the web page
• Internet Explorer browser, oukaSC, OuluCard
  and smartcard reader
• oukaSC asks for PIN-number (is available as a
  service for citizens)
• If PIN-number is correct, oukaSC sends cardID
• CardID is sent to the city card database, which
  returns the social security number of a
  cardholder
• The Initiative system compares the social
  security number to a number entered in the
  registration form
• If the numbers match, system login is accepted
