General statement

• Blue Tongue Lizards are Australian reptiles.
  There are 6 different kinds of blue-tongued
  lizards in Australia . The Eastern blue tongue is
  sometimes kept as a pet .

The Pillbra blue tongue lives in the red mark on
the map .

Habitat

• They live in grasslands,
• Rainforests, deserts,
• Backyards and
• now found all over the world as pets .

Appearance
The Eastern Blue-tongue is as long as a 30
centimetre ruler and so is the fat blue tongue
.The bobtail blue tongue is lumpy. The Bloch Blue
tongue is a dark colour and can to 48c.

Diet

• They eat snails , slugs , flowers , fruit and
• other things that they can find.

Habits

• Normally it sits in the sun or is finding food.

Life cycle and stages of Growth

• There is a hole under the mother's tail that
  gives birth. They give birth to live babies. The
  moment they are born they have to find their own
  food. If its really lucky they can live for
  30 years .
