2 Lessons Learned from CST 04
- Correct spotting is the key to safely completing
the COC - 2. Cadre involvement is key to success
- ENDSTATE Cadets develop an awareness of their
abilities to overcome physical obstacles. They
improve their self-confidence having successfully
conquered the idea of completing a task in spite
of the element of physical fear.

3 Tasks To Be Trained
Purpose To expose cadets to a series of
challenging and physically
demanding obstacles which require strength,
balance, and coordination. The course requires
each cadet to attempt some obstacles they may
never have thought possible, therefore overcoming
fear and developing self-confidence Key Tasks
- Attempt all obstacles
- Get 100 point score for Recondo
- Company staff assigns
graders/safety personnel and shotgun

- 20 Obstacles each cadet must attempt all
- 9 Obstacles graded for 100 point Recondo score
- Each cadets gets 3 attempts/obstacle
- 3.5 hours per company (0730-1100 or 1400-1730)
