  • Companies are attempting to locate, hire, and
    train new, well-qualified employees in increasing
    numbers more rapidly than ever before
  • There is no one unique and/or best way of
    training these employees
  • Online training is definitely a growing trend,
    but methods of training have changed little in
    the last 25 years
  • Biggest concerns are reflected in the basic
    training for new technicians and improving job
    performance
  • Outcomes are important to drive change. Reduced
    downtime, Cost Savings, Improved efficiency
    productivity of employees, and improved employee
    retention are frequently noted
  • Increased interest in blended delivery of
    training
  • Declining CD-ROM/Videotape-based training usage

Despite this, there appears to be no one unique
