• A year-long, monitored calendar identifying when
  key instructional elements will be implemented by
  all staff members
• A centerpiece for setting district expectations
  and ensuring equal access learning of students
• A widely publicized and distributed document for
  all stakeholders within the district which is
  updated each year based on recommended revisions
  by teachers

PURPOSE

• Ensures that teachers in all classrooms, grade
  levels, and schools know when, and in what
  sequence, each lesson is taught
• Ensures that all content standards are taught at
  each grade level, each school year
• Supports the expected instructional minutes of
  daily instruction at each grade level
• Allows for greater continuity and articulation of
  the academic program offered to students

  support
• Each year summative assessment is studied and
  professional development is planned
