• An introduction to the Modules

Computer-based learning

• BlackBoard-based
• 3 modules plus 1 orientation
• Quiz accompanies each module
• Must pass the quiz with 70 or 7 out of 10
  questions correctly answered
• Retake the quiz until you pass!
• See your scores in BlackBoard when finished

• Listen to Modules from any computer where you can
  get to a browser, and get to BlackBoard
• Better to do one module at a time, then take the
  quiz for that module
• Wait a day or two between modules, to absorb what
  you have learned
• Total time necessary to complete all 3, including
  the quiz, is about 3 hours

How to start

• Log in to BlackBoard in usual way
• You SHOULD see under Courses you are taking, INF
  101,102,103
• IF NOT, you must speak to your LIB faculty
  member,or a librarian for enrollment. Get your
  computer ready have a sound card, and use
  speakers or if in the library or tech center, use
  a head set (borrow from the Reserve Desk inside
  the library if you dont have any)
• Then, ready, set, go! Click on Orientation to
  Modules, INF 100.
• Then, on to Module 1

The Quiz
When you finish each Module entirely, You are
ready to take the Quiz
Up

When finished listening

• Take notes and listen carefully throughout each
  Module
• When finished with EACH one, take the quiz
  accompanying that Module
• Wait for a day or so before moving on to the next
  Module
• You may take the quiz over, until you pass with 7
  out of 10, or 70 grade

When to do the Modules?

• Any time you want!
• You should try to complete Module 1 and 2 before
  end of 1st semester
• Complete Module 3 before spring break of 2nd
  semester
• Grades are reported automatically to the
  Registrars office, just like other courses

How to get HELP

• LIVE HELP button on any library web page, will
  put you into a chat with a librarian
• Email the Reference desk when LIVE HELP is
  closed
• Click on ASK A LIBRARIAN, for email help during
  day time hours
• Call 617-732-2813 to speak to a librarian
• Leave a message at that number when library is
  closed
• A LIBRARIAN IS ALWAYS READY TO HELP YOU ?
