RPSGB Code of Ethics

• Pharmacists must keep up to date with changes
  in pharmacy practice, the law relating to
  pharmacy and the knowledge and technology
  applicable to pharmacy, and must maintain
  competence and effectiveness as a practitioner

CPD Monitoring Review

• CPD monitored reviewed by independent
  assessors for RPSGB (includes lay people)
• Submissions every 3 5 years
• Pilot system was robust, consistent
  reproducible
• Review good practice as a learner
• Some learning should relate to roles,
  especially if there are specific rights such as
  prescribing

Revalidation

• Practising Non practising registers
• - Practising category (any way engaged in
  pharmacy practice) will need to undertake CPD
• - Mechanism to move between categories
• - Prescribers likely to be reviewed sooner
• - Mandatory CPD will currently be the only
  requirement for revalidation
