DSOSSummary

• The DSOS consistently improves the beam
  efficiency of the 10.4-meter Leighton Telescope
  in the 350 micron wavelength range
• New detections of weak and/or distant objects
  with the SHARCII and 850 GHz Receiver have been
  obtained with the help of the DSOS
• It is one of the few real time submillimeter
  active optic systems operating in the world
• It is the only system that implements heating and
  cooling
• The DSOS has been in operation since Feb. 2003
