Create a Bookmarks File
  • Open a new document
  • Key categories alphabetically in boldface type
  • Enter Web page names followed by URLs
  • Activate links
  • Save the file on a floppy

  • Key a URL or word and select it
  • Click Insert, Hyperlink (Ctrl-K)

Using the Floppy Disk
  • Open your word processor
  • Open the book-marks file on the floppy disk
  • Connect to the Internet
  • Return to the bookmarks file and click on a link

Adding Favorites to the File
  • Open the bookmarks file in your word processor
  • Go to a favorite site on the Internet
  • Select the URL in the address box
  • Press Ctrl-C (the copy command)
  • Switch to your bookmarks file
  • Key the Web page name in the correct category
  • Press Ctrl-V (the paste command)
  • Activate the URL

  • Label the disks with your name and Bookmarks Disk
    (or Backup)
  • Purchase a sturdy disk carrying case
  • Keep the disks in the carrying case when not in
    use
