Test Design
  • Collaborative effort of education departments
    RI, NH, and VT
  • Standards referenced test of grade level
    expectations (GLEs/GSEs)
  • October testing of previous years GLEs
  • Reading, Writing, and Mathematics
  • All grades in Cranston take the same test on the
    same day

  • An on-demand test
  • Not a timed test
  • Three days of testing, 45 minutes each day
  • Grades 3-8 take reading week 1, math week 2
    grades 5 8 take writing week 3
  • Grade 11 takes writing week 1, reading week 2,
    and math week 3
