Previous Version Policy

• Product must be on a current Subscription
  contract
• Customers may request up to three (3) versions
  back from the current product release
• Up to the total number of licenses of the product
  currently under Subscription
• No requirement to have owned the previous version
  subject to the Eligible Product List
• For products not on the Eligible Product List
• Use of these versions is only permitted up to the
  number of licenses originally owned

Scenarios - Standalone - Customer owned the
previous version- Network non-2009 - Customer
owned the previous version
For previous versions older than three versions
back , you need to contact Autodesk Registration
Activation group to get activation code.
Activate online through the product or Partner
Center or http//register.autodesk.com
Or
Refer to the Activation parameters table for
more details on what serial number to use for
previous version activation

Process Overview Network 2009
Scenarios - Network 2009 - Customer owned the
previous version- Network 2009 - Customer did
not own the previous version
Step 1 Install and activate 2009 network
product. Authorization will allow users to run
current and up to three versions back
Step 2 If any network versions of three
previous releases already deployed to
workstation, assure they are pointing to the 2009
license server
Step 3 If previous version media is needed,
order media online via www.autodeskdocandmedia.c
om Requestor will need to provide 2009 network
serial number.
Step 4 Install previous version media using the
2009 network serial number and activation.

Scenarios - Standalone - customer did NOT own
the previous version- Network non-2009 -
Customer did NOT own the previous version

• Step 2
• Autodesk sends email back to requestor with
• new previous version serial number
• link to request media online
• link to activate product via http//register.aut
  odesk.com
• Note Previous version requests received via
  Partner Center will be processed within the next
  business day, And 3 business days via
  Subscription Center

Step 3 If previous version media is needed,
place order via media online website. Requestor
will need to provide Previous Version serial
number .

• Receive email with new serial number from
  Autodesk
• Request new media on line
• Activate new serial number online

not required Please note If you did not
legally own the previous versions, you are only
allowed to run those previous versions that
appear on the Eligible product list. If you
legally owned the previous version, you can
continue to run it for the number of seats you
owned on that version

  an active subscription contract
• Needs activation for 25 Seats of AutoCAD 2004

• Option 1
• Customer did own the 2004 version for 25 seats
• Contact Autodesk with your 2004 serial number for
  a manual activation code
• Option 2
• Customer did not own the 2004 version
• Per Previous Version policy this is not allowed

For any non standard requests of previous version
usage you must contact your Autodesk Sales

  2005
