    sense of personal worth.
  • Able to make good decisions, experience
    acceptance from others, and give and receive
    love.

  • Early on, our feelings about ourselves tend to be
    a reflection of how we are treated by the people

  • Your perception of your appearance, level of
    fitness, and health.
  • It is difficult for teens to maintain a positive
    body image because so many physical changes are
    taking place during the teen years.

  • We are constantly exposed to media images that
    show perfect faces and bodies.
  • These images often negatively influence the way
    we see ourselves, which can lower self-esteem.

  • Teenage girls often have a hard time because they
    sometimes feel that they must look
    unrealistically thin in order to be attractive.
  • Advertisements showing extremely thin women are
    often thought of as the standard/norm from which
    girls judge themselves from.

  • Thin bodies are fashionable in one decade, and
    curvaceous bodies are stylish during another one.

  • Realistically assess your strengths and

  • Dont be modest.
  • Try not to judge yourself with unrealistic
    standards.

  • Only expend energy on things you know you can
    control.

    how trivial they seem.
