We are going to look at how information can be
collected and how it can be shown in different
ways

• As a bar chart
• As a pie chart
• As a line graph

Collecting information

• Information can be collected using a
  questionnaire.
• A questionnaire is made up of a number of
  questions.
• Answers to questions may be a number, a word or a
  tick.
• The answers are collected and used to produce
  charts and graphs.

Bar charts

• Bar charts show fixed measurements.
• You can look for the tallest or smallest bars.
• You can compare one bar to another bar.

• Pie charts are broken into segments.
• The largest segment is the most common item.
• Segments of the pie chart can be compared.

• Line graphs show a measurement over time.
• The line graph shows the temperature in the
  classroom rising and falling.
