Title: Mission Statement

1
Mission Statement To show Christs love through
meeting the needs of children throughout the
world.
2
Forming of BCM
Building Christian Ministries was founded in
January 2005 by Phillip Abernathy, Kathy
Abernathy, Tommy Abernathy, Eddie Garrett and
Jeanette Garrett. After traveling to Brazil on
mission trips to build a girls home started by
the First Baptist Church of Aracaju, we each felt
the Lords call to travel back to the home and
see what support they still needed since the main
buildings were complete. Upon arrival in Aracaju
we discovered needs in the home and also realized
why we had been called to go. After returning to
the United States we decided to form this
ministry to support this home and build other
needed childrens homes. Luke 923 Mark 1615

Organization, Project Hope, to begin the process
of government approval allowing childrens homes
to be built and operated anywhere in the
country. Mission Trips 2005 2006 BCM worked
in the girls home completing projects, repairs
and purchasing needed items. There was several
meetings with different government officials to
organize Project Hope documents, research
prospective properties for future childrens
homes, and build relationships with Brazilian
Christians to partner in Gods vision.
