THE BLITZ

• The Blitz was the bombing raids in world war 2.
  The Blitz started on the 7th of September 1940.
  The blitz was caused by doodle bugs, fire bombs,
  oil bombs, high explosive bombs also incendiary.
  The most dangerous bombs were the doodle bugs.

RATIONING

• Rationing was introduced at the start of 1940.
  Rationing was introduced because the Germans
  wanted to make the British weak, the Germans
  tried to cut off supplies of food and other
  goods. German submarines attacked many of the
  ships that brought food to Britain. Supplies that
  were rationed were food, petrol, clothes, cloth
  and handkerchiefs also cigarettes were rationed
  to.

EVACUEES

• Evacuation was when a child ( or children) were
  taken away from there homes in main Cities, into
  a home in the countryside. But some children
  stayed in there city because there parents didnt
  want them to leave. Some families in the country
  side used their evacuees as slaves! But others
  treated them as family members.
