2Luke 24 13-35
- On their way to a village called Emmaus
Something prevent them from recognising him
You must be the only person in Jerusalem who does
not know the things that have been happening
there these last few days
He explained to them the passages throughout the
scriptures that were about himself
Did our hearts not burn within us as he talked to
us on the road and explained the scriptures to us?
3Reflection Question Reflect on a time in your
life where you truly felt the presence of God
Risen Jesus! We give thanks for those moments you
reveal yourself to us in our daily activities. As
we walk our personal Road to Emmaus, help us to
remember that you, too, are present. Help us to
remember to look for you in the Scriptures and to
recognise you in the breaking of the bread. In
our moments of suffering and sadness, remind us
that glory is never far away. Hear our prayers,
we make them in confidence. Amen.
