CD Created to Make Your Life Easier
  • Created as a service to the NSBEA members in
    Nebraska.
  • Over a two-year period I collected around 50
    lesson plans in a variety of business education
    subjects.
  • This past year I updated the CD adding over 20
    new lessons.
  • Several of the lessons are from winners of the
    M-PBEAs share-an-idea contest.

Business and Consumer Law
  • Creating a game to see how rules in a game are
    similar to laws of society.
  • SourceSouth-Western Publishing Companys
    Business Law textbook
  • Students invent a board game, create/make the
    game, and write up the rules or instructions for
    playing the game.
  • Students in class rotate playing the games based
    on the instructions given by the group who
    created the game.
  • When finished, the students reflect on the analog
    of how rules for a game are similar to laws for a
    society.

  • Career ClustersPat Olson, Blair High School
  • The students take a Career Cluster Survey by
    selecting items that best describe them.
  • The career items are separated by career cluster.
  • The students total their choices and find the
    corresponding cluster that best matches their
    activities, personal qualities, and school
    subjects.
  • The students can further explore the cluster(s)
    by researching an occupation in that career
    cluster.
