Responsibility for Coursework
  • Bring notebook, textbook, planner, and
    appropriate writing tools to class.
  • Know due dates, and submit all coursework on
    time.
  • All assignments are posted on the bulletin board
    and on the class Web site.

  • Optional items will be supplied to you if you are
    unable to get them.

Policies
  • Food and beverages are not allowed in the
    classroom.
  • Please be in your seat when the bell rings, as
    class begins at that time.
  • Absences
  • Check the bulletin board, web page, or ask a
    classmate first for assignments.
  • Each absence must be excused in order to receive
    credit for the assignment.
  • You have 5 school days to turn in your
    assignments.

Policies
  • Items behind my desk and on shelves are off
    limits unless you have permission.
  • Five points will be deducted for the following
  • Turning an assignment in pen
  • Turning an assignment in late
  • Turning an assignment in incomplete
  • Unexcused absences will result in a zero.
  • Cheating will result in a zero.
  • Cell phones and electronic devices will be taken.

Policies
  • Computers are off limits for anyone who has a
    missing assignment, failing grade, or any
    incomplete work. Anyone using a computer to
    listen to music needs to have a pair head phones
    so that it does not distract everyone else.
    Otherwise, keep the volume off.
  • Before leaving, make sure you have cleaned up
    around your desk, put away all of your materials,
    and are seated. If this is not done, you will be
    asked to remain after class to take care of this.

Grading
  • Grades are based on weighted system.
  • Points are based on
  • Completion of assignments 50
  • (daily work, activities, home work)
  • Exams and quizzes 50
  • Grades are posted and updated every Friday.
  • Our Grading Scale
  • 90-100 A
  • 80-89 B
  • 70-79 C
  • 60-69 D
  • Below 60 F
  • Grades are calculated on a weighted scale and are
    always rounded up.

Grading
  • You will be required to label your assignments as
    in the diagram above failure to do so my result
    in a possible loss of that grade.
  • Assignments will be worth 10 points each. You
    will be required to show work on your assignments
    and work during the time given. Failure to work
    or show will work will result in loss of points.
    Each day we will completely go over the previous
    days assignment. This will be a self-check
    system so that you can see how well you are
    doing. Failure to do this will result in loss of
    those 10 points. The assignment will be
    collected as soon as we go over it. I will
    check these while you are taking your 5-minute
    quiz.

Additional Information
  • If you have 3 missing assignments (0s), you will
    be required to attend after school detention to
    make up those assignments. If you fail an exam,
    you may be required to attend ASD to retake the
    exam.
  • You will have a 5-minute quiz at the beginning of
    class over the previous days lesson. If you
    fail to complete it in this time, you will be
    asked to turn it in anyway. These quizzes will
    be worth 5 points. If you miss one, it is your
    responsibility to make it up. These quizzes will
    begin as soon as the bell rings. If you talk or
    are caught cheating, you will receive a 0, no
    exceptions.

Additional Information

    be worth 5 points. If you miss one, it is your
    responsibility to make it up. These quizzes will
    begin as soon as the bell rings. If you talk or
    are caught cheating, you will receive a 0, no

  • You will be required to keep notes for every
    lesson these notes will be collected at the end
    of each unit. You will receive 10 points for
    each lesson.

Additional Information
  • You will have an exam at the end of each unit.
    These exams will be worth 100 points. If you
    fail an exam, you may retake the exam once. Make
    sure you are prepared, because if you score
    worse, your second grade will be what is scored.
