- Personal development planning (PDP) is a

future by reflecting on your learning,
performance and achievements. - It involves thinking about aspects of your
personality, education and further career paths
So, what does this mean in practice?
7Why do PDP?
- PDP will help you to
- review, plan and take more responsibility for
your personal development - Identify your goals and evaluate your progress
towards achieving them - become a more effective, independent, confident
and self-directed learner - improve your career planning skills and enhance
your future employability - begin or support the process of continuing
professional development in your chosen
occupation.
8For example, this PDP could help you to
- Review the skills you are developing
- Make good decisions about your next step
- Find out about opportunities for further study
- Possibly expand your horizons by taking up new or
favourite activities - Continue to develop, contribute to and build up a
really good relevant CV
