Landforms of New Mexico
  • New Mexico has many landforms but these few
stand out from the rest. In the north-west part
of new Mexico lays the Colorado plateau The
Colorado plateau is part of Colorado, Arizona,
Utah, and of course New Mexico. Another landform
    found in New Mexico is
the White Sand National Monument. This 144,000
acre desert is covered with white sand made
from gypsum. It is located in the
south-central part of New Mexico. In New
Mexico there is a lot of sand stone especially
at the Jemez range. It is covered with

The Land of Enchantment
  • New Mexico is a very unique state in the U.S.
The climate is different the land is different
and the people and their culture is unique. New
Mexico has lively cites too. They have mountain
desserts and ruins New Mexico has also inspired
lots of artists with its spectacular view and
amazing landforms. Most people think of new
Mexico as a hot dry area and hot climate but in
the mountains it is cool and overflowing with
growth. Even though some deserts may be hot you

Work Cited
  • books-
  • Most of my information came from the book
America the Beautiful New Mexico by R. Conrad
    Stein. I used pages10-14,29-35 and pages 103-126.
I would recommend this book for someone who wants
to learn about New Mexico or needs a reliable
    resource.
  • websites-
  • I also used one internet resource at
www.newmexico.com. It was a good resource for
    this project.
  • color choices-
  • When I think of new Mexico I think of hot warm
deserts and warm colors. I chose a green because
There are only so many warm colors and New Mexico
does have cool times so green would be a nice
    color.
