• How to check that you have the latest version of
  Sophos

Sophos version step 1

• Log on to the computer
• Open the Sophos virus engine
• Usually StartgtprogramsgtSophos Anti-VirusgtSophos
  Anti-Virus
• Alternatively double-click the InterCheck icon
  in your system tray if this is present. Right
  click InterCheck monitor and select Sophos
  Anti-Virus.

• You should now see a dialog box like this
• Click HelpgtAbout

• Check the release date is recent
• Check the date is no more than one month ago
• Please phone the LLN service desk if you have any
  doubts

If your version is out-of-date

• If your version is out-of-date then you need to
  upgrade your version of Sophos
• Sophos may be out-of-date for two principal
  reasons
• Your client workstation has not updated from the
  central installation
• Your central installation is not updating from
  the LLN server farm
• Do not delay in updating Sophos you must
  protect your network from viruses
