Method

• Step 1 Retrieving a core nano dataset - a
  formal nominalist search with Nano substring
  with exclusion of noisy terms like NaNO2 or
  nanosecond
• Step 2 Generating Search Terms
• a) Data pre-processing - lexical analysis
  procedure includes a complete indexation of
  titles of articles, lemmatization of the obtained
  word list, generation of stable word combinations
  (with ReseauLu software)
• c) Subfield delimitation of nano-related
  subfields - 16 distinct subfields filtering of
  terms by specificity
• Step 3 Building a beta query.
• Combine search terms,
• validate them by experts
• build query expressions
• If necessary add emerging terms comparing two
  distinct periods of time using a specificity
  index for the newest period of time.
