619-20 Do not store up for yourselves
treasures on earth, where moth and rust destroy,
and where thieves break in and steal. But store
up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where moth
and rust do not destroy, and where thieves do not
break in and steal.

A. 4 THIEVES THAT ROB YOUR JOY
The happiest people are rarely the richest, the
most beautiful, or even the most talented. Happy
people do not depend on excitement and fun
supplied by externals. They enjoy the
fundamental, often very simple, things of life.
They waste no time thinking other pastures are
greener they do not yearn for yesterday or
tomorrow. They savor the moment, glad to be
alive, enjoying their work, their families, the
good things around them. They are adaptable they
can bend with the wind, adjust to the changes in
their times, enjoy the contests of life, and feel
themselves in harmony with the world. Their eyes
are turned outward they are aware,
compassionate. They have the capacity to love.

A. 4 THIEVES THAT ROB YOUR JOY
Such joyful believers have no trouble convincing
people around them that Christianity is real and
that Christ can transform a life. Joy is the flag
that flies above the castle of their hearts,
announcing that the King is in residence. -

2. Cultivate the Submissive mind Phil 2
If you have any encouragement from being united
with the world, if any gratification from its
lust, if any intimacy with its character, if any
hatred and indifference, then make my joy
complete by being closed-minded, having disparate
loves of self, being divided in spirit and
purpose. Do all things out of selfish ambition
and in vain conceit, and in arrogance consider
others lesser than yourself. Each of you should
look only to your own interests, and dismiss the
interests of others. - The 'Screwtape' Letters
