    starting from most recent backward.

    abilities. Employment history not presented in
    chronological sequence.

  • Name, Current address, Telephone , E-mail
  • OBJECTIVE
  • Short statement of the goal of the resume.
  • EDUCATION
  • List college where plan to obtain degree.
    Include name and location.
  • Degree, Major, Date of graduation, Minor (if
    applicable).
  • G.P.A ( if 3.0 and above).
  • List other colleges/universities that you have
    attended in reverse
  • chronological order (if applicable).
  • May wish to include of hours worked while

  • Use bullets to describe each accomplishment on

  • Be specific in describing job responsibilities.

    possible.
  • Qualify and quantify information give numbers,
    percentages,
  • rates/volumes, and frequencies where
    possible.

  • The resume should always be as specific and goal
    directed as possible.
  • It should stress important information and
    accomplishments.
  • It should be easily scannable with effective use
    of margins and white space.
  • It should be kept to one page, for most
    applicants.
  • It should either be word processed, printed, or
    computer composed
  • The final product should be copied on 20lbs bond
    paper (conservative colors, ex grey, white or
    off-white.)
  • Proof the final product to ensure that it is free
    of spelling and other grammatical errors.
  • Descriptions should be no longer than 5 6 lines
    of type (Bullet points)
  • Maintain consistency in display techniques.
  • Make sure the document is action oriented.
