2009 Presentation Project

• Each table has one presentation group.
• Each group should choose a technical topic, e.g.,
• Web cameras
• MP3 technology
• Voice recognition technology.
• The presentations will be between November and
  January.

Rules for the Presentations

• Everyone in the group must do part of the
  presentation.
• Each presentation should be about 5 minutes, in
  English, without notes.
• Your presentation score will be decided by the
  other groups.
• You can use a microphone for the presentation.

Questions

• Write 3 questions about your presentation.
• After the presentation, ask your questions to the
  class.
• I will choose someone to answer.

Who to Impress

• The other students will decide your grade.
• You should impress them, not me.
• To be impressed, they must understand what you
  say, so . . .
• Use simple English so that everyone can
  understand
• Speak slowly enough for everyone to understand.
• Speak loudly enough for everyone to hear.
• Explain any words that they may not understand.

How to Impress

• Think of various ways to make it interesting and
  enjoyable.
• Face toward the audience
• Look at the audience.
• Involve the audience.
• Use your hands and body for effect.
