Teenagers

• Regardless of the size or denomination of your
  church, you will have basically three groups of
  teenagers.
• 1. Those that come all the time
• 2. Those on the role that do not come
• 3. Other teenagers in the community
• Put the three labeled To Do Sheets in front of
  you on your desk.

Those that come all the time.

• In Mark 13 42 Jesus took Peter James and John
  along with him.
• There will be some kids God will give you to go
  along with you. You will pour yourself in to
  them, disciple them, and know them intimately.

Those that come all the time

• Ask.
• What would I like to do with and for them?
• Start writing on the To do page making
  individual thoughts. Do not run the ideas
  together but make specific individual tasks. Name
  names and be specific.

Those on the role but who do not come or only
come sometimes.

• Jesus said in Luke 1910 For the Son of Man came
  to seek and save what was lost.
• Since you cannot save anyone that just leaves the
  seek part. Your task is to seek the teenagers and
  get them to Jesus.

• Put the labeled To Do page in front of you. Ask
  the question
• What do I need to do to get to know the kids on
  the role who do not come?
• Start Writing. Again write in individual tasks.
  Name names. What would you like to do? How can
  you seek? Seeking means going to them.

Other Teenagers in the Community

• In Matthew 936 When Jesus saw the crowds he had
  compassion on them.
• It is impossible to go into the teenage world and
  not feel compassion for them. Your category one
  and two kids live with other kids. Notice these
  other kids and be intentional with them. Learn
  their names.

Other Teenagers in the Community

• Put the labeled To Do sheet in front of you and
  ask yourself
• What does compassion cause we to want to do with
  this group.
• Start writing specific ideas you would like to do.

Leaders and Helpers

• In Mark 67 Jesus sent his disciples out two by
  two.
• You can not and should not do this alone.
• Take out the labeled To Do sheet for leaders and
  helpers. Ask what you would like to see happen
  and start writing.

The Church

• In Luke 416 Jesus went to Nazareth and on the
  Sabbath day he went into the synagogue, as was
  his custom.
• Take out the labeled To Do sheet for the Church.
  What are things that you would like to see
  happen? Write these down. You will need to also
  fill in things that others want to see happen by
  and through you.

Personal

• In Matthew 1423 After Jesus had dismissed them
  he went up on a mountain by himself to pray.
• Take out the labeled To Do sheet for personal and
  start writing what you want and need to see
  happen in this area. Put on the list away
  seminars for your learning and for your spiritual
  growth.

Any other major roles in life

• Take out a blank To Do Sheet and make any other
  major roles in your life.

Priorities and the Tyranny of the Urgent

• Included in your kit is the booklet Tyranny of
  the Urgent for your study.
• One by one take each of the To Do pages and mark
  next to each item an A if it is very important
  (not necessarily urgent) a B next to a less
  important item and a C next to an even less
  important item. This will take a while.

It will fill up fast

• Now, one by one take each sheet and put blocks of
  time on your calendar when you will do each of
  the A items.
• Do only the A items first for each sheet.
• Then the B items, and then the C items
• This takes a while to do really well, so keep at
  it.

Every Week

• Repeat this process every week at whatever time
  you choose.
• Mark on your calendar the block of time needed to
  do this exercise.
