- Assumes 2 years of high school algebra (or
equivalent) and 21 Math ACT or sufficient score
on placement exam - Text College Algebra by Dr. Avinash Sathaye

- Printouts available at book stores

- Not in any sense an online course
- Calculators are expected
- may be used but will not be required on tests
- Applications are primarily of algebra to geometry

- Homework uses web system
- Can submit any number of times till problem set
expires - Can work together on homework (encouraged)
- Can get external help on homework (permitted)
- Number of homework points (out of 10 possible) on
a test determined by average of scores on
homework sets for that test - At least 40 on Wed version homework at least
85 on Sunday version for full 10 points. - Less than 40 on Wed at least 85 on Sunday
version for 8 points. - Less than 40 on Wed reduces max from Sunday
score by 2 points (or to 0) - Attendance taken by signing attendance sheet
- Signing for someone else is cheating
- Attendance points proportional to number of
classes attended - Excused 2 absences university excused absences
