  • Press F1 at any time when you are in a module to
    access that portion of the user manual
  • If you are at the main screen, go to HelpgtTopics
    to open the help file
  • Wherever there is a sign there are chapters

  • Whenever you are on a form with multiple tabs the
    exit button is always on the FIRST tab

Measure Selection
  • Selection of Measure Sets for a Facility
  • Add a measure set
  • Click on the New Measure Button
  • Choose the measure set (Heart Failure) then
    system (CMS)
  • We ask that you enter in each measure set for
    EACH system you are collecting for
  • Another example, is if you will be participating
    in BCBS and CMS, you will have 2 entries for CHF
  • Click on the Add Button to complete the entry
  • Enable or disable sampling
  • Select the 'Allow for Sampling for this measure
  • Size is decided in the abstractor module

Critical Access Measures
  • You will want to add the three new measure sets
    into your Facility Setting.
  • Go to Tools, Administrative, Facility Setting
  • Go to Selected Measure Tab
  • Select Add Measure
  • Add the following measures
  • Measure Set Emergency Room Transfers
  • Measurement System Critical Access Hospital
    Measures
  • Measure Set Outpatient Acute Myocardial
    Infarction
  • Measurement System Critical Access Hospital
    Measures
  • Measure Set Outpatient Pneumonia
  • Measurement System Critical Access Hospital
    Measures

Inpatient Quality of Care Measures
  • Add AMI, CHF and PN as appropriate
  • JCAHO accredited hospitals will choose Joint
    Commission Core Measures as the Measurement
    System
  • Contact Frank Zibrat at fzibrat_at_jcaho.org with
    JCAHO to ensure that the MHA is notified of your
    change in vendor
  • Individuals who want to submit to the clinical
    warehouse/QNET Exchange will choose CMS Quality
    of Care Measures as the Measurement System
  • Contact Diane Smith at dsmith_at_mpro.org with MPRO
    to ensure that MHA is notified of your change in
    vendor
  • Governors Award participants must submit data to
    the clinical warehouse/QNET Exchange.

  • Summary Reports
  • Available for each measure set
  • Located at the bottom of the individual report
    list
  • Summary
  • Will create a report that lists each indicator on
    one spreadsheet

Excel Tips
  • AutoSum
  • Click a cell below the column of numbers or to
    the right of the row of numbers.
  • Click AutoSum on the Standard toolbar, and
    then press ENTER.
  • AutoFilter
  • Select the header row
  • On the Data menu, point to Filter, and then click
    AutoFilter.
